Gibraltar District

In the south portion of the city, the Gibraltar School District continues its track record of offering solid basic education and many innovative other programs to township students and residents. Unfortunately, the district receives one of the lowest foundation grants in the county - $6,013 per pupil for its 2,810 students- yet district educators continue to improve an already notable program.

The Gibraltar Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Stark Learning Center, 19370 Vreeland Road.

Board members are President Joanne Hawkins, Vice President Elton Laura Jr.; Secretary Linda Andrzejewski, Treasurer Kenneth Jacobs, and Trustees Melvin Kramer, Tracy Cooper and Jeffrey Coleman.
