Fall Leaf Pick-Up 2013

Residents can now sweep their leaves into the street and Department of Public Service crews will vacuum them up. Residents can also, place the leaves in trash cans with a "yard waste" sticker or in compost bags for pick-up on regular trash day by Waste Management.

The City has two leaf vacuums and modified dump trucks to haul leaves. The program begins the third full week in October. This year our fall leaf pick-up will begin on Monday, October 21, 2013 and end on Friday, December 13, 2013.

THE CITY OF WOODHAVEN HAS IMPROVED OUR CITY LEAF VACUUM PROGRAM! PLEASE CLICK ONTHE HIGHLIGHTED SCHEDULE BELOW TO SEE WHEN LEAF VACUUM WILL BE IN YOUR AREA.

Schedule and Map of Pickup Areas

Leaves only are to be placed in the street. No grass clippings, branches, tree trimming, etc. are to be placed in the street. If the above items are mixed in with the leaves, neither items will be picked up until the resident removes the undesirable materials. These materials will damage the vacuums. Should the resident not remove the undesirable material, the resident may have to be issued a violation of City ordinance and possibly incur a fine.

Residents are requested to keep the leaves a minimum of ten (10) feet from any catch basins or intersections. Should the leaves block catch basins, street flooding could occur in the event of rain.
