Woodhaven Fire Department

The Woodhaven Fire Department provides the citizens with the latest equipment and firefighter training available to better serve its community. Responding to fires, hazardous material incidents, medical emergencies, and much more. The Woodhaven Fire Department provides three ambulances, which will transport patients to any of the three area hospitals with a simple call to 911. The firefighter's medical licenses include Paramedics, Emergency Medical Specialists, and Emergency Medical Technicians. These Fire Fighters show great pride and professionalism, as all employees of the Woodhaven Fire Department are residents of the City of Woodhaven.

With a fleet of three Pierce fire apparatus the response capabilities for the City's fire protection are a brand new 107 ft. ladder, a Pierce Engine,  a Mobil Air/light trailer located at Fire Station 1 on Hall Rd. and a 55 ft. Snorkel Squirt Engine at Fire Station 2, located on Van Horn Rd.  Both Stations Engines also carry the latest Hurst Jaws of life for quick extrication capabilities at the time of need. The Woodhaven Fire Department is a Combination Fire Department with twenty-five to thirty Part Time Firefighters/Medics and 5 Full-time Firefighter/Medics.

If you are a resident of Woodhaven with a Michigan Paramedic and Fire I and II certificate and are interested in becoming a Part Time Firefighter/Medic, please come in and I would be glad to answer any question that you may have about becoming a Woodhaven Firefighter/Medic.
